Title: Why I Started This Blog — And How I Hope It Helps You

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for being here. Seeing so many FRCOphth exam aspirants visit this blog and join the WhatsApp group has been both exciting and deeply humbling.

I started this blog with a simple purpose — to make the FRCOphth journey a little less confusing, especially for international graduates like myself.

I’ve been in your shoes. I know how isolating and overwhelming this path can feel, and I often wished there was someone I could turn to for guidance — someone who had been through it and could help make sense of the process.

So I created this space to try and be that person for you. To share real experiences, practical tips, and honest reflections. More importantly, to build a platform where support feels accessible.

Now, I want to hear from you.

  • What are you struggling with?
  • Are there specific topics or exam stages you need more help with?
  • Is there something missing that you wish someone would talk about?

You’re welcome to comment here or message me directly. I genuinely want to understand what would help you most — and shape my future posts around that.

If I can guide you through my own experience, I will.
And if I can’t, I’ll do my best to point you in the direction of a trusted resource, a platform, or a senior who can.

This journey may be tough, but you don’t have to walk it alone.

With warmth and purpose,
Dr. Hemali
